Makes me wonder for all the marching
Raising all that money every year
Why aren't we closer for the cure?
I mourn the loss of someone to cancer
I cry for her life gone whom I hold dear
Why couldn't they have given her the cure?
To this bitter day, I still pray
For other cancer patients do doctors procure
The long awaited full and true cure.
